In January 2020, Tim was appointed by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan to the Howard County Board of Elections to complete another Board Member’s term. Tim did not realize that when he accepted the position, he would face a pandemic that resulted in four elections in one year and three during the pandemic. Maryland Governor Wes Moore reappointed Tim for a new four-year term beginning June 2022.
